I just came back from running errands.  When I pulled into the parking lot at the post office here in Fellsmere I was amazed to see a Mississippi Kite flying low over the parking lot.  We see plenty of Swallow-tailed kites here, but this is a first for me in Indian River County.  I just came back from running some BBS routes in the panhandle where I saw many Mississippi kites, except in Holmes where they would have been a county bird.  The PO is less than a half mile from the house.  Maybe I should head out into the yard and see if I can get a new yard bird.
