On Sunday Apr 25, 2004 BCNet will be performing maintenance between the
hours of 6 am and 10 am. Direct connectivity between the BCNET member
sites of UBC, BCIT, SFU, UNBC, and UVIC will be unavailable for three
hours during the maintenance period.

Off campus access will also be down during this period. This means that
the INSNA web site, which includes the conference registration and INSNA
membership registration pages, will be unavailable for this three hour
period. (We are in the Pacific Daylight time zone which means that when
it is Noon in New York City, it's 9 am in Vancouver.)

BCNET is the entity the supplies the internet gateway to the
universities. When BCNET services are shutdown (ie: outage), there is no
internet access (WEB, E-mail, FTP, etc.) to any computer in the
university (either incoming or outgoing). This outage includes all of
the servers in O.T.S. Computers inside the university can still access
university servers - but cannot access anything outside of the
university. Computers outside of the university cannot access any of the
servers inside of the university. This is only for the duration of the
outage.
